Toy Machine Vote For Obama

Image Description Here Because complacency is self indulgence. Because apathy is a disease. Because willful ignorance is sadder than informed optimism. Because handing the country to the organized but irrational, idealistic but unrealistic fringes of our culture has led to war, recession, fear, and divisiveness. Because we can't do any worse. Because we've rarely done better.

this is so dumb. it's cool to like obama w/e you want is up to you. but you guy's are role models...why are you on here telling "loyal pawns" how to vote? you should be supporting people to go out and vote, not to vote for one candidate.

Ed is TELLING people to vote for Obama, but by no means is he MAKING loyal pawns vote for him. He has never said that if you vote for Mccain, you are not faithful to Toy Machine or anything like that. Until you own a skateboard company like Toy machine and until you run a skateboard website, you should not be judging and saying that this shouldn't be posted. He is not FORCING his ideas, he is EXPRESSING them.
Posted By: Zachary Vito on November 4th, 2008 at 04:42PM PST
dear "bullshit"
judging by the way you abbreviate your words, you are a child and not old enough to vote. Save your breath.
Posted By: my vote cancelled out your dads on November 4th, 2008 at 04:50PM PST
ya know i love you guys. im asking for one of those fancy new decks for christmas. of course this isnt my website, its yours. but after all the idiots in school who hate mccain and bush (and cat back it up, some really can) they tell me im the dickhead after i pay attention to useless politics. so, not im ready to sit back and maybe look at some more silly costumes, and bang, 'vote for obama'. nope.

I've been telling people to vote Obama for a year now. Dude is as legit as a politian could be. Kucinich is as well. Of course, Ed & Kevs are going to tell you to vote Obama. This shit is way too important. Frankensein McCain is a crazy old man with a temper to rival Kerry Getz! I love Hockey Temper Getz, but I don't want dude with his finger on the button. Then when old man dies off from a 9th cancer battle or just cause his blood died up, you get Wolf Killer Peggy Hill, Sarah Palin. Who is mad stupid! She has no idea what the 1st amendment means!

Posted By: pauly shore on November 4th, 2008 at 05:37PM PST
a presidents job has never been to exercise power but to draw attention away from it. obama and mcain are representatives of the global banking elite. rule the economy and rule the world. kissinger and brzenzki their top advisors are funded by the same people. its been a different mask on the same face for a hundred years. these people do not represent change, they merely introduce the new consensus reality we are to abid by formulated by their owners. war, recession, and divisiveness are instruments of profit to these elite. and fear is how the control the masses. the only way we can stop world wars, the greater depressions, and so on and so on is by becoming educated and informed and organized and focused to bring about real change. an evolution in consciousness and awareness. we can certainly do worse ed, and we will untill we stand up against the tyranny that is the wto, world bank, the cfr, and the other criminal enterprises that make up the world order. p.s. dope ass demo on halloween!
Posted By: kolidescopes on November 4th, 2008 at 05:38PM PST
Keep you eyes off of our website then.
Posted By: ed on November 4th, 2008 at 05:46PM PST
Dear kolidescopes,
Whatever Obama's potential presidency turns out to be, he represents the evolution of consciousness and awareness you speak of, even if it's a clever marketing ploy by the "criminal elite". In many ways I agree with you, the presidential slot has been filled time and again with very similar figures, whether Republican or Democrat. It must be remembered that the holder of this office must be agreed upon by a majority of the American public. Obama has ties to corporate America, and he is part of a static civic system in a constantly refining world, but he is the face of the desire for change. His actions may prove to be exactly the same as the rest of the lot, but at least this time I can be legitimately disappointed.

A deep post,from Kevin.Nice!

I wonder if there was a huge fan of Toy Machine that really likes McCain, but now he hates toy.whatever,he can go ride his Plan B boards now.

Oh yeah, THE place for politics.
Posted By: Jgonzalez on November 4th, 2008 at 06:17PM PST
If I could vote I probably would have voted for Stephen Dion, only cause of his cute lil accent. Thank you toy machine for trying to convince your loyal Canadian pawns how important voting is, cause I mean its kinda hard to vote for Obamo when your not American.

I aint hatin though cause I would fully back Transistor Sect if it ran...

Posted By: brandy poo on November 4th, 2008 at 07:10PM PST
At the very very least, Obama is way better than McCain. How is that not completely obvious? Even if you're like kolidescopes & you're all conspiracy theroied out, McCain is a way worse choice.

that guy is for abortion and gay marrige, that just says it all.
Posted By: JKREW on November 4th, 2008 at 07:27PM PST
world war III here we come, Isreal will attack us if Obama is elected.
he is inexperienced and not ready to make an attempt at running this country.
and the whole "face of change" views on him are retarded, the only thing this man will change is the economy, and he will be putting money in the pockets of a bunch of worthless fucks.
so let me go work, so i can be penalized and give my money away, so drugged up dipshits can recieve it, because apparently they deserve the "wealth".

not my fault they've chosen a path to self-destruction, and don't work.
people are poor because they choose to be. they aren't born that way, they aren't raised that way, and it isn't because of race, it's because of their choice to throw their life away, and strive to make a personal change.
Posted By: ?? on November 4th, 2008 at 07:50PM PST
Dear ??,
I can almost hear the libertarian rhetoric seeping out of your ears. Do you really think poverty isn't inherited? Do you you actually believe that all people on welfare are "drugged up dipshits"? Do you know the history of welfare or American history in general? Shocking ignorance from you here.

Posted By: Jgonzalez on November 4th, 2008 at 08:42PM PST
Keep politics out of skateboardin. Toy machine is one of my favortie companies and i have had a ton of your boards. but seriuosly, no one gives a shit about who want to be president, thats one of the things about skateboarding i love. its an escape from all the "important issues" and way to just have fun with no worries.

im so SORRY for making false generalizations, you act as though i live in a castle and view the public from my mighty telescope way up in the heavens. i work too, i share a 2 bedroom apartment with 4 other people, it's not like i've got a mansion or somthing
I am right, for every 100 fuckers that i've come across that have made decisions to alter their lives and eventually become part of the "poor", there are maybe 2 or 3 that had it forced upon them, even then those few are at least striving to change their situation.

also i caught a glimpse on the news of a woman crying saying "oh thank the lord, if he gets elected, he will take care of us, we took care of him, now its his turn"
and in what form of being taken care of was she referring to? i'd say a nice little check in the mail.
he practically bought his presidency.

since when shall we let somebody take the wheel of our country whom has around 4 years experience give or take some weeks, over a man who has served us countless years, fought for this country, was a POW for 6 years in a fucking tiger cage, this man has shed blood, sweat, and tears for this soil, meanwhile we are going to elect somebody because of the color of his skin.

don't try and come back at me with "thats not why he was elected" because we all know when it comes down to it, race was obama's ace in the hole.
race is was it came down to for his election.
and its a fucking fact.

and kevin i don't really give a fuck what you think about the economy, or the wealthy, you are overpaid for whatever position you hold within the sect community. filmer/editor OH MY GOD there are countless teenagers i've met who could handle your job for a few free decks and they'd be grateful.
when you actually WORK then come back and talk down to me please

because you're first response was in an oh so nice tone

I meant no personal offense to you in my response, simply asking questions with answers I thought were obvious. You'll excuse me for not taking your personal experience of the impoverished as the universal. I can't seem to forget about overpopulation, discrimination, and deindustrialization, as you clearly have. I assume that the audience of this website cares about what I say because they come here of their on volition. I don't post about my personal life, but as this considers us all, I take the election of the president as a public matter. You're free to disagree with my opinion, but I maintain my right to express it. I'll tell Ed about those teenagers...

Obama's victory is a triumph for racial equality and it is beautiful. The world has officially changed. I am betting for the better, but of course I am not infallible, and neither is anyone else. Humble yourselves. Seems simple enough, right?

??!! doesn't have a real place to stand in this discussion, so of course it's time for a personal attack. I've witnessed first hand what Kev does on a day to day basis & he works his ass off for Toy Machine. There is way more to his job than filming & editing, of which I will add he's way better at that these teenage dipshits you reference. Video of year, how many can claim that under their belt? Poverty is generally not a choice. I highly doubt you're making more than a 1/4 mil a year, which is how much you have to make for your taxes to go back to what they were under Clinton. Remember Clinton? Yeah, the economy was soaring after he cleaned up Reagan's mess. Oh well, I doubt you're intelligent enough to listen to any kind of reason, if you were you never would have posted the 1st post.
