Dekline flow rider Shaun Gregoire just returned with the Birdhouse team from Australia. Check out a little bit of footage from the Duke street Skatepark
Gareth, it's time to have an intervention—a shred intervention. We've all been watching you shred way too hard and it's getting out of control. It started casually with your article in issue #62 of The Mag, and now you're dropping a full MAG MINUTE? Foundation, Pig, Dekline, Anon, Roughneck, Active and Comune are all here to support you, just put down the board for a couple hours, okay? Time for skate rehab, pal.
Johnny Layton, Angel Ramierez and Matt Bennett are still kicking it live from the road. If you are in the Ft Walton Beach area stop by Plus Skateshop for a Vans BBQ / Demo featuring Johnny Layton and Angel Ramierez on 3/24/09 at 1:00 pm until.
Ok this was the transition from self loathing company to Foundation Super Co. Things started getting better from here. It's pretty funny how your attitude towards things effects other people and their perception of things. In the beginning I played down being a skateboard company and we went nowhere. Once I started projecting the Super Co. people began to believe it even though we were that same tiny little company. Yea, hello, basic psyc and marketing 101. Hell I didn't know what I was doing.
Early Joshua Zues Beagle gigantor frontside 180. Serious For The Nineties.
WTF!?! This summer, June 2009 is Foundation Skateboards 20 year since inception. Raising Hell! It's hard to believe. I will be posting tidbits from the past on the new F site over the next few months.
Thanks to all teamriders, employees, customers and fans, past and present. You made Foundation....Survive!!!
Shred or Die just posted the third installment of our trip to Tampa Pro and back. If you want to see Johnny and Angels contest run tune into The Skatepark of Tampa and watch it live.
Thanks to everyone that came out to Beach Zone on Sunday to meet Johnny Layton, Angel Ramierez and Matt Bennett. Special thanks to Pat and Daniel at Beach Zone.
This month Matt B is front boarding coast to coast.....this one happens to be in New Mexico. If you are not lucky enough to see Matt B in the streets live, check him out right here.....
So my team all wanted to ride for World Industries back in 1991-92. So I made some decks for them so they could pretend. We actually made and sold these not with permission from Rocco. Probably one of our best selling boards. Rocco stole Richard Mulder off the team in retaliation as well as had Natas make some Foundation decks with 101. The graphics were really shitty mocking the real really shitty graphics I did for Foundation. Ha, ha. All in good fun.
WTF!?! This summer, June 2009 is Foundation Skateboards 20 year since inception. Do we celebrate, rejoice, pray? It's hard to believe. I will be posting tidbits from the past on the new F site over the next months. I had this plan to invite all former and current team riders down to the Black Pearl Skatepark. Party, skate and do interviews filming it all. All the dirt good, bad, whateves. Mix in old footage. Economy is not letting that happen right now. But maybe someday.
Thanks to all teamriders, employees, customers and fans, past and present. You made Foundation....Survive!!!
Why put off the inevitable? Do like Matt B here and get going.
In case you're just plain lazy, you can leave a comment for Matt, JLay, or Angel to respond to.
Or just kick back and let the newest Kincade wash over you.
What's Ed doing?

Foundation Pro, Gareth Stehr and Foundation Am flow, Nick Merlino, both rock Dekline Footwear. Spring goods are in stores now. And we have a new website that launched today! Check out Blog, new team riders and spring line at www.Dekline.com.
Don't freak out. Just let Logan lull you into a gentle skate slumber.
Also, if you'd like to ask Johnny or Matt a question while they're on the road to Tampa go here.

This was a ad pre leaving the World Industries fold circa 1989-90. I was showing my lack of enthusiasm of participating. My lack of believing in myself. Destined to lose. That was my selling tactic and it was not working. I had to get a grip quick. You have to believe in yourself. Despite what you feel or what you get from people. Believe in yourself. Set your own expectations and reach for them. Life lessons 101 from many years of mis-spellings!
This was the first ad I did once I left Rocco and the World camp to go on my own back in 1991. Signifies the point of being completely crushed but with a clear direction of possibilities to come. I sold my motorcycles for start up cash to get things going. I lived in a house with a bunch of surfers dudes in Del Mar and had my bed up on stilts with what little product I had underneath. I had to give Charlie Watson of Watson Laminates $5k cash up front to get some boards going. I'd wake up and call shops all over the country and maybe get like one sale. That was the worst.
Authentic pasted together ad - paper and glue.
