Catalina Adventure...

Kevin, Grif, Rob, Grant, and Deanna and I on the boat over to Catalina Island. Logan Kincaide takes his vision underwater... The posse explores Willow Cove after our picnic. Before that, we hit Frog Rock. This is the view from atop Frog Rock, that is Deanna on a float, and some kayakers passing by. Just the other day a man was killed by a Great White Shark in southern California. Here is footage of a great white off Catalina, and some reports... Deanna would be a tasty morsel. Another view from the top at the beach and the the bros warming up after swimming in the freezing water. We all climbed it and jumped multiple times... Grant washed up to shore finally. Grif took in some sun, the went all Chakra on us. Damn hippie. Group underwater shot: Unsuccessful. Logan Kincaide at work on his latest creation. After a day of surf and turf, we relaxed in the shade.

Blog Minneapolis day 4

Started off another day at the park. It was still cold out. Gareth skated the outside part of the park. Heres a front blunt on the rainbow ledge. Then he ran into something with his neck. The contest ended today and all the results were announced. Product was tossed. Then we took a group vote and Mall of America won as the activity to do tonight. Let the fun begin. The team bought some tickets this time to go on some rides before it closed. Even the shopping section of the mall is huge. One last photo to wrap up. We are heading back home tomorrow morning. Goodbye Minneapolis. Thanks for the good times. And by that we mean Mall of America.

Blog Minneapolis day 3

The view outside my hotel room was not looking very friendly. And I don't mean that because there was kids shouting "Top Shop" and lighting fireworks at odd hours of the night until police arrived. I meant it because it was snowing out, bro. I know theres kids in Antarctica or Alaska or some other cold place like the North Pole right now saying "those stupid Californians think that is snow, thats like a nice day here in _____(insert Antarctica, Alaska, or North Pole). But thats fine, I'm spoiled in San Diego I know. I don't even go outside my house if its cloudy out. You can barely even see those cars theres so much snow piled on them. That's our whip right there. Notice how I only shot the photo of like half the car well thats because I was just driving it and the snow came off the windows in the front. But I was trying to make this photo look epic and make you feel bad for us. We sat at the booth again and this time we came equipped with a tv and dvd player. It looked like we were playing the new Lurk Fest video from far away. But we were playing this work out video instead. It was left in the dvd player that the shop gave us so we just rolled with it. Now all these kids are going to have buns of steel. Sorry that was weird. I made everyone limbo for product today. Good idea huh. nice photo...or not. dont know what to say dont know what to say dont know what to say. This is awkward looking. When I was walking around I checked out the Osiris booth and noticed they have a couple Foundation shoes on Display. What do you think? David tried to take some peoples money in dice. Then we all went to the boss mans Hotel to meet up for some dinner. They got good blogging materials at there hotel in downtown Minneapolis. We took advantage. Below are the photos I got when I said "quick guys look cool". I give you weird photo number 1. Followed by way weirdest photo number 2. What a clever bunch of fellas. After dinner with the boss man we decided to all head back to the park for the launch ramp contest they were hosting. As you can see I put a ton of effort into both of these last photos. Shot from my digi cam on top of a ramp a million miles away from all the action. Oh well. One more day in Minneapolis...

The last day was spent at the ranch Diego keeps his horses at. We had a giant bar-b-que with Abuela in attendance. Duffel gets gnarly on Wild West style too. It was epico. Even Bill had fun. Maybe.

Blog Minneapolis day 2

We made it to the park bright and early. The park was looking pretty big. Extreme like almost. We were like the main sponsors in case you forgot. A lot of teams showed up. There was not only a skate competition going on but also a tradeshow. We showcased all the new Foundation stuff. And also let these guys show off some stuff. The scene in the cold and damp and cold and really cold tradeshow area that was kinda cold. There is something like 10,000 lakes wherever we're at and we were trying to squeegee one of them into the drain so people didn't have to take a boat across to get to our booth. The team was looking pretty cold. Ok thats better. Burger King pit stop. Heres a update on the night. Its snowing. And everyone but David because he is not of age and that would be illegal is on a party bus headed downtown to the bars...Heres a brief look into tomorrows schedule. Wait for it wait for it. Oh Yeah its the same thing as today, minus the party bus.

Blog Minneapolis day 1

So we're headed out to Minneapolis from San Diego for the Top Shop competition. We started the day off with some McDonalds in the San Diego airport. We flew over the rocky mountains(i think) on our way to Denver to get on the connecting flight to Minneapolis... Found David in the Denver airport smoking lounge handling business. Bart was the designated cart for bags pusher. Sorry Bart. First stop directly off the airplane was Mall Of America. Duh. Roller coaster inside the mall is looking preeetty good. Lego Land... This guy was here. Bart was pretty excited little to say. More updates coming...

They brought out the riot truck to beat back the crowd of teenage girls creaming a line of slime through Buenos Aires towards Nick. Unfortunately, poor Johnny and Nuge were trapped inside, and were not able get any love for being pro.

See a video update on Burn-Out!!!! From beautiful Buenos Aires, Argentina. From Kevins' e-mail: As expected, the demo day was a wild one. Johnny got interviewed while eating a sandwich. The demo was great, the guys killed it, and afterwards they signed and crowd surfed... ...Billy pissed electric... ...and Nick went down to double town with some of the local wildlife. (And by 'double-town' he means Heavy Petting-Junction.) (population: 3) Over all a funny, exhausting, and epic day.

(Flying over the epic Andes Mountains) Flew over the Andes to arrive in a chaos filled Buenos Aires... ...filled with smoke from the grass fires taking place throughout Argentina. Diego: There's some gnarly smoke in the city from burning grass in a different town and the wind blew it this way. The whole city is smoky as shit. Looks gnarly as fuck!!!! Things are going good, everybody's getting along... Butch is still hurt but having fun. Buenos Aires rules heavily. A town full of gnarly Diegos. I'm having a blast.

It's Tuff Being Famous: Toy in Chile Update

Johnny was big-time in Santiago. He was signing stuff and even made a TV appearance. The local news channel covered the event. Diego was interviewed as well, telling the Chilean people to buy Toy Machine or get butchered. The Butcher's knee is looking gnarly. The crowd was massive and started chanting 'do hammers!' at us. Apparently, they were more happy just watching their local heroes skate. We didn't even need to come! Kevin put it this way: 'With only three riders and in the midst of a local contest, the dudes did what they could among an expansive and jeering crowd. Diego was on the news and Johnny signed for days before injuries jinxed us.' Our driver likes to watch TV while on the road. Hopefully he runs over one of these street performers. After some hiccups with rider arrivals we're off to Valparaiso today. There are many more photos to see from the trip on BURNOUT!!!

Santiago, Chile: Day One update from Kevin

Flying down to Chile doesn't look too fun. These photos are from the first day in Chile. But once We got there we were off to an Andes Mountain ditch session with cows and a campfire. Johnny at the ditch high up in the mountains. Those cows I mentioned. Diego pokes at the dying campfire. Later that night we were taken to a house party with an epic mini-ramp, dogs, home grown weed, and bar-b-que. Diego gets the fire started J-Lay enjoys the house party. Pretty epic.

I dropped Abdias off this morning after a long week in pheonix, vegas and san diego. After that I decided to swing by the Active Battle of the Shops contest they were holding at there headquarters.

Spring Break Yo Self

The course for this years contest was looking pretty good. We had a Foundation team signing in Sun Diego before the contest started Abdias Alex Corey David Gareth Nuge Sierra After the signing the team skated the contest. David back overcrook. Abdias on the course. Gareth gap to bluntslide. Sierra nollie flip boardslide. Sierra landed wrong during the contest and thinks he broke his foot. So he had it checked out by the medic. The team was there in full support mode. After the contest David packed up and said goodbye to California and hello to Colorado and the taxes he's about to pay. See you all next year.

Diego sends an update from Chile!

He didn't send any text, just photos, so I'm gonna have to take a guess as to how things are going: Johnny was walking by a group of hot young models doing a photoshoot in the street when one of them recognized him and freaked out. She ran from her shoot over to Johnny and started hugging him and kissing him. Since she was dressed for some 'sexy schoolgirl' shoot, her skirt was hella short, and johnny was getting a boner. Then she handed a camera to Nick and asked him to shoot a picture of them together. Johnny was pretty embarrassed about the boner and was hunching over to minimize it. Nick said 'Stand up straight dude!' and everyone was looking now. He stood up and all the people around started to laugh like crazy because you could clearly see J-Lay's raw boner through his pants. Nick is telling that story to Kevin in this photo. ---------------------Billy is here, but flies in tomorrow. Diego shoots johnny while reflecting about the days activities. Then they went to get coffee, and fuck, for all I know they are in LA chillin. How do I know they are in Santiago, Chile if they go to Starbucks?

Blog Vegas last day

We checked out a double set. But things were not going our way. Goodbye double set... Matt Ball showed us around again. Went to this ditch spot. Saw this sweet car and figured I'd blog it. I'd say we ate In N out almost every single day so far on this trip. David taking it easy... What the...yeah there was a tumbleweed at the spot. It tumbled onto our car. Or not. Whatever. Goodbye Vegas. We need to leave and make our way back to San Diego for Spring Break Yo Self. See everyone at the Foundation signing at 2pm Saturday.

Planes, Trains, Automobiles...

A good portion of The Team is off to South America today. Land of cocaine unbridled, wait, that all gets shipped up here... I wonder what their chances of dying are down there? Johnny Layton doesn't think about such things. He is concerned with one thing only, and we all know what that is: Shredding. Josh and Matt B. stayed back to keep filming for the Fallen Video. I hope they send me photos to update their trip!

Blog Vegas day 6

We had a little shindig with Pharmacy planned at 5pm. Ragdoll made it out. You would think the green shirt that Gareth is wearing would symbolize all the money he has won so far in Vegas. Well lets just say thats not the case here. Whatever the color of being down a couple hundred is he should be wearing. We all loaded into our vehicles and drove to the skate spot that we would be judging a contest at. Some chose cars others chose motorcycles. We were rolling deep. The spot was like this slab of concrete with homemade obstacles. We held a best trick contest on the handrail. Bart watch out theres a lifted truck about to run your ass over. Matt Ball showed up. David and Alex helped judge the contest. This kid is the winner. I forget your name but I don't forget the switch heelflip bluntslide you did down the rail. After the contest we decided to hit the streets again to skate. Little did we know we would run into a little problem. But with our quick instincts a bad situation turned good real quick. Heres the story. So we went to look at a rail. Security drove up so without even questioning it we just got in our cars and tried to leave. We weren't even skating the rail. Just looking. Anyways the security guard took all our plates down and tried to somewhat block us in. We broke free and just left peacefully. Little did we know we were being followed by him. Little did he know he picked a van full of dance party music listening kids to mess with. So we did the smart thing and kept driving. Then stopping. Then driving. Then stopping. Seeing how far we could push him. We would just drive in circles around a median in the road, he followed. It was 3am in a residential area so no one was out but us. Then we did the smart thing and flipped the script on him. We blocked the security guard in on the main street so he couldn't leave. And then got out and talked to him. He immediately said he would go about his way. See with some quick thinking like us you can get yourself out of any situation. Goodnight.

It started with masses of Loyal Pawns choosing Toy Machine decks from the Lifetime Supply that Active has in stock. We sat and signed things for hours. Matt B was there, looking fine as usual, and hanging out with his family who came to see him in action. Austin was there too, hanging in the shadows as he is want to do from time to time. Nick showed up with a popsicle. Josh and Ed posing for a picture. Compare the young to the old, the fresh to the grisled. J-Lay rocks his best Blue-Greco. Grif and Grant get a grip. After signing was over we all went out to the parking lot to watch LURK-FEST projected onto a big screen with the sound full blast. It was pretty cool to see it outside. Abdias qualified 7th today and made it to the semi finals! Abdias front crook. We thought CiCi's pizza was a good idea. All you can eat pizza. They had some crazy pizza at this place. Macaroni and cheese pizza, Buffalo wing style pizza, and mystery meat pizza. I thought I saw scrambled egg pizza also. But I don't know could have just been cheese. It was sketchy. A photo tribute to Active Erica...

It came to my attention that many Toy Machine website Lurkers were posting comments about Active Erica. For Example: 'We wanne see her naked' or 'We think she is hot' so I went out of my way to bring you little horn-dogs what you want. You wanna see that one Closer? My first thought was to try to get a secret behind the scenes photo shoot going... But then I realized that would probably be inappropriate, so I resigned to getting these photos. Getting Erica on the Table wasn't easy. I had to demonstrate exactly what I wanted (for you, my Loyal Pawns.)

Tribute to our LOYAL PAWNS...

Our signing and premier at Active in Rancho Cucamonga brought out a plethora of Loyal Pawns. I want to thank all these Toy Pawns for coming out to show their support of the Bloodsucking Skateboard Company. Kids from far and wide made the pilgrimage to see their overlords, (us) and to seek advice on how to conduct their lives. As you can see, I told them that buying a Toy Machine board is a step in the right direction. This one was Packin' Red-Bull after too many Life of Ryan episodes... (or was he trying to inflate his package area to impress Active Erica?) All Pawns were very happy to be seeing the Lurk-Fest video and to shake hands with their favorite Toy Machine representative, including the creator of the videos, Kevin Barnett. Johnny Layton was there in a surprise appearance, (we thought he was gonna be in Brazil!) making the entire team present except for Diego the Butcher, who we think is in Spain. Overall, the signing went great, even the flow-rider minions got in on the action. I have plenty more photos to post tomorrow. Thanks Active! Thanks Erica!, and Thanks Loyal Toy Fans!
