Best letter per month get a FREE TOY MACHINE DECK! (while supplies last)
Send letters to: Griff's Letter Contest
Here are the RULES: I believe in freedom of speech, meaning write what ever you want. However, there must be a set of DOs and DON'Ts for a letter contest to work.
DO send in your story about the most embarrassing moment in your life, the alien abduction, the thing you found under your mom's bed, a brush with death, sweet make outs and rejections, or anything to keep your letter entertaining.
DON'T whine or beg. Let's leave that to the hippies.
DO include drawings, videos, pictures, clippings and cut-outs
DON'T ask for anything free. This is an automatic disqualification.
Remember, you can't bullshit a bullshitter, but embellishing is storytelling. Who knows, your waste of time could win you a brand new TOY MACHINE!

Sierra collecting his contest winnings in Poland. I need to get the full scoop on the contest but can't find anything about it. Hook me up Poland distributer.
Sierra now has $9,995 dollars left after he gives in to the greatness of Mcdonalds.
To get that extra something out of all of his shred sleds, Bilbo grips his boards with a shoelace.
And if you want to see Billy, along with J-Lay, Diego and Josh tear the Moscow skatepark a new A-Hole then click right here. It's well worth it.

The last days of filming are either filled with uplifting victories of dream tricks being fufilled, or heartbreaking injuries that frustrate and demoralize. While the vid is filled with the former, Matt B is caught here taking in the latter. Bummer.
"Suffer The Joy" of filming for the next video already.

Sierra Fellers has been out in Poland for the last couple of days. Fresh off the Circa midwest tour. There was a contest out there at some new park and he placed 1st in the contest and won best trick also. I hear he's $10,000 richer now. I guess we picked the right guy to be are new Foundation am.

Another one of Ed's wonderful hip bruises...
Kevin said my ass and hips look like a gaseous planet, like Jupiter for instance, with an ever changing red spot floating around, and you can never quite get or remember the shape, because it is always in some sort of flux. A shapeless lumpy mass...
And time for another installment of Toy Machine's hidden agenda: The brainwashing of Loyal Pawns into compassionate human beings who choose not to kill other animals and take part in the eating of their flesh in a ritualistic ceremony under the guise of giving thanks for the rape and slaughter and non-recognition of the native American people's role in our prospering as a country...

But you do what suits you of course... You must choose your own path.
This is Nick. He got a standing ovation when his video part debuted at the Suffer The Joy premiere. If you don't have the video yet, you are deformed. Nick will be pissed at you, too.
"Suffer the Joy" of being gawked at by your peers.

LA has savage grace when viewed from afar.
The first videos should hit shops this Friday at the premiere locations
All other shops, if they freaking ordered them, should get them on the 20th !!
(you should heavily reprimand your local shop if they neglected this!)
Suffer the pleasant Joy of buying an epic skate video...

A nice shot of the MANY police equipped with Riot Gear to be used against the Rabid Loyal Pawns
and the Minions of the Bloodsucking Corporation...
They blocked off an entire city block...
Here is the door that got ripped right off it's hinges by the sheer force of raging skaters' bodies ramming against it. Don't forget the broken glass...
There was about 2000 skaters waiting to see the movie.
Over 12 arrested!!! as reported by the sheriff's department!
Eric from Tum-Yeto counted 51 cops/riot patrol people from where he was standing.
We needed to have 5 showings for everyone to see it.
One kids arm did in fact get broken by a sheriff in disguise as theater employee... that sucks...
I rolled up real early to a line of kids wrapping around the block.
We didn't really have security, so I worked the door, which sucks because I have to hold fans back who just want to see the movie. I fucking hate telling a kid to wait, or having to hold them back. Anyway, we let people in and the theatre got packed. Kids started getting rowdy and the owners of the place started getting bummed.
We showed the movie, but the sound was fucked! They couldn't turn it up very loud at all, and you had to stay pretty quiet to hear it. Weird, but it worked out OK, and people seemed to be pretty amped on it!
Then we tried to get people out and it started getting crazy. People started barging in, and I had a bunch of VIP's waiting outside that I needed to get in. Daewon Song, Jamie Thomas, Greg Lutzka, Darrel Stanton, and a ton of other friends of mine and the team were waiting in a sweaty, rowdy, and every moment angrier crowd...
The cops showed up to control the crowd, but people started throwing shit at them. I was able to get some people in, but at some point we needed to relieve the kids in the line, some of which were getting crushed, so we started letting people in and a stampede started, I got completely ran over, the door of the theatre got torn off it's hinges and glass started breaking... It turned into total fucking chaos. The riot police started getting aggro and arresting kids, rumors have it that they did so very forcibly, possibly breaking one kids' wrist. I saw 2 kids in the back of the police car when I left the place, and I saw one kid getting slammed to the ground. The theatre people were bumming hard at this point, and wanted to shut it down, but we begged them to just show the movie for the second time... We got the sound figured out, and the second showing went great, aside from the riot happening outside, and the damaged theatre, and all the kids who didn't make it in.
I am really sorry for anyone who didn't make it in, or anyone I had to hold back. I hate doing that shit.
My apologies to the theatre for the damage. My apologies for the kids who came and didn't make it in. My disappointment with the cops who harshed the Loyal Toy Machine Pawns. My anger with any skaters who caused a riot by fucking with the cops and ruining it for everyone else. My LOVE of the fact that we are skaters and we like it raw. Toy Machine came and left the streets of Long Beach in ashes.
Both good and bad, we fucked shit up.

Josh is often mystified when required to manage the product toss. He dislikes the violent chaos and usually just hands the decks to well deserving kids keeping quiet with battered boards.
"Suffer the Joy" pick out your Sunday best, 'cause you're wearing it this Thursday.
Foundation recently took a trip up to Duffels house for a last minute filming mission. 13 people deep makes for some good skateboarding. Heres us out to eat.
While attempting to tame a wild beast of a rail, Josh ripped his shoulder out of socket. Here he is bumming.
"Suffer The Joy" we're taking a beating so you don't have to.
I don't think this photo is getting used, but it's too sweet not to be seen. Good one, Butch.
"Suffer The Joy", creeping up on you like a silent killer.
to think about as mid-term elections are right around the bend.
This is not President Bush or Republican bashing, it is more of a
take on US arrogance as a whole and the lack of responsibility
anyone is taking for it.

With a blank canvas in front of him, Matt B. has nothing but choices about how to paint his next video part.
"Suffer The Joy", winding down for us, just starting for you.
Good times had by all. The game for the weekend was to stand behind the line, shoot the basketball into the hoop while doing a flip trick or some other kind of trick with your skateboard. Thanks to all that came out.
