Toy Machine Toy Machine.

Toy Machine is still in Europe and getting sheeit done. Right now Ed Templeton, Diego Bucchieri, Austin Stephens, Caswell Berry and Nate Broussard are in Barcelona, Spain on a film/photo trip with Mike Burnett and Dave Hoang. Burnett is shooting for a Thrasher article and Dave is filming for the up coming Toy Machine video. What! An up coming video! Holy crap!

The highlight of Europe has easily been none other than Caswell Berry. He placed 2nd place in Copenhagen, 1st place in Laussane and 4th place at Dortmund. The finest of the Tilt-mode army!

Billy Marks is out and about. Last I talked to him he was shooting photos for Skaterboarder and doing some filming. He says he has a couple things ready for the eye.

Josh Harmony is heading for back home status on a little trip back to his home town in Illinois. He plans on hanging tough with some of his long time friends and cohorts.

Toy Machine ‘new wave’ is in full effect! Look for the new new wave models to be in stores in about a week. Less surface is less friction is less work is lazy fat American skaters. Innovation is reinvigorating.

Foundation Foundation what? FOSKCO.

Check out the Foundation Vancouver article in the new Thrasher along with the Duffman's interview. Both will blow your minds!

The Foundation team is back from a 3 week Europe trip, which consisted of demos, in store shop appearances, shooting a Slap article along with 3 other European magazine articles and ripping the contests. See all the Chaos in an upcoming Slap Magazine.

Next on the summer Foundation agenda will be a month California Tour called the "MADNESS AND MAYHEM TOUR" which starts August 3rd. The guys will be going from shop to shop and town to town shredding demos and signing autographs. For more info and to find a shop near you or go to www.FOSKCO.com .

The Foundation Controlled Chaos in 411 is completed and will be out in issue 54. It will also appear with added footage on the DVD but to see it on the DVD you will have to find this hidden segment because there is going to be a so called Easter egg hunt.

411 Issue 52 just came out and you can see the glam boys in Panama and Peurto Rico having a good time site seeing and skateboarding.

I heard a rumor that he Foundation team is working on a top secret Christmas video that will be out early December just in time for all you kiddies out there to beg your parents for this perfect stocking stuffer.

The long awaited Ethan Fowler TWS interview is out so go to your local skate shop and check it!

Corey Duffel's Thrasher interview has just came out and is awesome! This kid rips! He's an Animal! Go check it out and you will see what I mean. Corey Duffel just finished up a part for the new Thrasher video, and a 411 Wheels of Fortune due out in the near future. Corey has also just shot a 20 questions in TWS that you can check out in the next Transworld.

Mike Rusczyk is back on his board shredding after a long time healing from knee surgery. Look out for mike and the rest of the team on the Madness and Mayhem tour in August.

Deathbox Deathbox team news.

The Mighty Eric Dressen Has been seen filming for an upcoming segment for Fox sports net with Wee man, And some of the other 1984 crew. Eric has been riding the DEATHBOX logo I deck, while busy working on his new signature model with DEATHBOX

The Oz Fest is coming up on Aug. 31st, and since Folmer is tight with some of the bands that will be playing; looks like some of the "D-Boys" will be there. This year's "Hey Punk!" extravaganza at EMP (Experience Music Project) in Seattle is going to be all time! Many of the details (what bands, etc), are being worked out, but so far, here's the quick rundown:
8/23/02- films & panel discussion @ EMP
8/24/02- evening punk show @ EMP (hopefully the Circle Jerks)
8/25/02- outdoor skating & punk rock show @ Skatepark

Andrew McKeag has invited most of the DEATHBOX crew to come up and ride while punk bands thrash in the back ground. So far, it looks like:
Duane Peters, Doug "Pineapple" Saladino, Eric D., Dave Reul, Salba, Hackett, Olson, Ruml, Folmer, Demain, Nathan and Arab Groff, Inouye, Magnusson, Mike Smith, Lance Mountain (Tentative).
Now that will be a S-I-C-K session! Last year, Due to a knee surgery Hackett was the MC; this year, who knows who will step up to the mic! Maybe Pineapple since he is still recovering from a broken ankle. For more info contact:

Andrew McKeag/Public Programs Experience Music Project 2901 3rd Ave #400 Seattle, WA 98121 phone: 206.262.3431 fax: 206.770.2727

While we're on the subject of Pine's busted ankle, I finally got the details on how it went down: While practicing for the "Legends" division at last months "V-Bowl" contest in Hermosa beach, Pine went into a high speed board slide. While coming out of this move, he knew he was not going to make it, and went into a knee slide. Apparently, his right leg didn't come around fast enough; his toe caught on that super sticky surface and BAM! ? busted ankle. Immediately, Bowman, Elguera and Hackett jumped into the bowl to check out the situation and assist, Germ and Tesnar showed up with hammers in hands after jumping down the scaffolds and knocking the hatch door open to help their bro out. While carrying Pine out of the escape hatch, Bowman and Hackett told Pine that it's was just a sprain ... "Yeah right!" Bowman took pictures of the ankle while Pine lay quietly saying nothing and cracking jokes. Pine awaits Germ and Tesnar at the hospital for 1 1/2 hours (where could they be? we all know ...sessioning a pool nearby- of course!) Arab shows up after going to multiple hospitals. The results; Clean break on the right fibula, Doc inserted a plate and seven screws, 1-week later ... took the splint off and removed staples, cruising around on crutches, back in action in 4 months, been seen scoping out the new pool at the Clairmont "Y" in San Diego. Secretly jotting down lines. Will probably carve the fuck out of it and board slide around the whole deep end. Pine has also been seen down at ACE Tattoo in OB working on his leg piece. Pine will soon be a free and single man again, due to a divorce... ladies, feel free to send pics and get well cards to pineapple@deathbox.com

Deathbox Jay Adams.

Jay Adams, David Hackett, Tony Magnussen, Brian reid, Gary Owens, and Grant Fukuda were recently seen tearin' up the Oahu's North shore, surfing 4-6 foot Sunset, Rocky rights, and Gas Chambers. After surf sessions the boys would regularly show up at Old School ripper and original member of the 1960's Hobie team, Steve Ellis' mini ramp for some sick and heated sessions. Hackett even got a chance to ride with his old bro and former Arrow team mate Kent Senatore who shralped the bowl at Hickam A.F.B. Look for photos and new Jay Adams/Osiris shoe in all the mags soon. Unfortunately , two days after the boys left the islands Adams was "caught" at a routine parole officer meeting with $850.00 in his pocket. According to the law, a parolee is only allowed to have $125.00 maximum on his/her person! How fucked up is that?!! How the hell is a man supposed to get his life back together with $125.00? Geez, he makes twice that much a week off his DEATHBOX board sales alone, let alone what Osiris shoes pays him. Jay got thrown into solitary for 20 days, and will be out on July 28th. He is in good spirits and is ready to fuck shit up when he gets out! To contact Jay, send emails toadams@deathbox.com

Tum Yeto Memorial Skatepark Update.

The Memorial Skatepark is currently flying through all of the city comitees, but is still taking some time to complete the red tape. As you know the funding and approval is there, it's just taking a bit to finish up. Check out academyskate.com to see some of the design concepts. User Name: memorial Password: skate. While on the site you can email them and give your approval and opinion.

There's another meeting coming up real soon, so stay tuned for more updates.

Toy Machine Caswell Berry takes first!!!!

Caswell Berry took first place at the Grand Prix contest this weekend in Laussane. I know you didn't expect anything less than the best. I do believe that the world cup is coming up real soon and I for one would like to see Caswell take it all the way. He can do it. Let's see, the next and last contest is in Dortmund this weekend. Caswell Berry, he's our man, if Caswell can't do it then no one can!

Look for Caswell's new pro board out really soon.

Foundation More, Dude! Where's My Board! Updates.

The team had fun in Austria Monday night. Fusion 3 Ltd. took them out to a medieval restaurant in Hall in Tyrol, near Innsbruck. One tends to eat with ones hands and throw bones around in this place while a guy in tights performs medieval music. Apparently it was a good night to say the least. Tuesday was spent skating in various spots nearby and then they hit the road to Zürich, Switzerland, where they arrived last night at the No Way skate shop in Zürich. Once there, they managed to squeeze in a TV interview and signing of some coffee machine! Today, Wednesday, they hit the road to Lugano, Switzerland, only to encounter the beautiful European weather - pissing rain! Anyway, off to Lausanne to the contest tomorrow to kick some butt.

Foundation Dude! Where's My Board?

things are going well with the tour in general. Hit a few bumps in Austria as it was the weekend - people wanted to party too hard! Anyway, moved on to Switzerland today and they want to cancel Dortmund next week and head to France.

Get ready France!
